Cheeky Sweetie

I was so afraid to actually book this trip-something *always* seems to happen to keep my exciting plans from coming to fruition.  But when Alli’s Tweet said only ten spots were left, I almost peed my pants, went crying to my Mommy about how I can’t pay for the flight and registration until Friday, and borrowed her CC to get it booked.  So, it’s written in stone, sisters and brothers.  I will finally be able to awkwardly stand in the same room with my favorite bloggers at BlissDom09 in Nashville February 6th & 7th.

I am doubly thrilled that after the conference, I will be visiting my brother and his family, including my first great-nephew, who was just born on Thursday.  He’s gorgeous and healthy, just like his mom, and I can’t wait to hold him.  There has been such a cloud over my family for the last six months or so….this blessing couldn’t have arrived at a better time to force me to get my head out of my ass and look at the big picture.

I need to make some changes….I am not very proud of some of the decisions I have made lately and the way I have acted.  I have let my sadness and frustration turn me into someone much less like the person I want to be than I am comfortable with.  It’s a new day..every day.  A new opportunity to behave more like the woman I want to be.  And I want to embrace it fully and live this life teh way it is meant to be lived.

Starting with a weekend away with other women, mothers, bloggers, and a lovely combination of the three, hopefully peppered with other wonderful characters who don’t fit that mold but break it in a fantastic way.
